I had the privilege of joining Octave Marsal’s team as art director, project lead, and head of post-production for AppleTV’s La Maison title sequence. From the start, our goal was to create something elegant yet enigmatic, layering iconic objects, symbolic locations, and narrative motifs into a visual language that reflects the show’s world.
We wanted the sequence to feel like an invitation: mysterious enough to spark curiosity, rich enough to reward close attention. Each frame hides meaning, clues and a few invevitable Easter eggs tucked in for those who love to dig deeper.
The title sequence follows the journey of Paloma’s character, here embodied by her dove emblem. As a parallel to the show’s plot, she is caught in between the obstacles and battles taking place between Vincent and Diane, the Ledu’s and the Rovel’s, represented by their giant hands taking over the city of Paris.
Behind the scenes videos mixing our first ideas sketched on post-it notes, live footage with the original accessories from the show that we shot for reference, 3D builts and After Effects compositions. An intense but rewarding process…!
