Born and raised in Paris, France, Lili Boisrond finished her Literature high school program in 2012 and continued her studies with a year of Art History and Archeology at la Sorbonne in Paris. She moved to New York in 2013 to study Liberal Arts at Sarah Lawrence College from which she graduated in 2017.

Exploring Visual Arts through drawing, painting, and printmaking, her first contact with animation was through a storyboarding class, that led to experimental animation, and later, narrative 2D animation. Her senior year animation piece, a continuation to her previous work Ladies Make Do, received Best Narration Prize at ASIFA-SF in June 2016.

Her influences in Fine Arts vary between artists such as Gerhard Richter, Edward Hopper, James Brown, Wassily Kandinsky or Helen Frankenthaler. In animation, Lili was first overwhelmed as most young animators by the work of Hayao Miyazaki, and started exploring more independent work by animation artists such as Bill Plympton, Signe Baumane, Joseph Pierce, London Squared and Patrick Smith.

With a penchant for international travel, Lili is also a passionate Jazz singer and wants to continue animation professionally in New York.
